What to expect

This guide is here to help you feel comfortable, informed, and prepared for your session.

Every session is unique, and your experience will unfold in a way that supports your personal wellbeing.

What Is Sound Meditation?

Sound Meditation is a gentle, holistic practice that uses sound, vibration, and intuitive awareness to support relaxation, emotional balance, and energetic harmony.

Sound instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, voice, or other resonant tools may be used to create soothing frequencies that support the body and mind in returning to a natural state of balance.

Sessions are designed to create a calm and supportive space where you can rest, relax, and reconnect with yourself.

What does intuitive mean?

This means I’m paying attention to the body’s energetic and nervous system responses.

As the session unfolds, I pay attention to areas that feel tense, depleted, emotionally held, or energetically stagnant, and I adapt the sounds and instruments accordingly.

Sometimes I may reflect observations, themes, images, emotions, or impressions that arise during the process afterwards. These are never presented as absolute truths or diagnoses, more as gentle invitations for reflection.

You are always in control of your experience. Nothing is expected of you emotionally, and you never need to share more than feels comfortable.

Some people experience the session primarily as deep relaxation and nervous system regulation, while others find it emotionally insightful or personally meaningful.

My intention is to create a grounded, respectful, and non-judgmental space that supports whatever experience is most beneficial for you.

During Your Session

Sessions typically begin with a brief check-in to understand how you are feeling and what support you are seeking.

You will then be invited to relax comfortably, either lying down or seated.

During the session:

  • You may hear a variety of soothing sounds
  • Vibrations may be felt within or around the body
  • You are encouraged to simply rest and receive
  • There is nothing you need to “do”

You remain in control and may speak up at any timeSome sessions may include intuitive observations or gentle guidance, depending on your needs and preferences.

If gentle touch is used, it will always be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

What You May Experience

Each person responds differently to sound meditation.

Common experiences may include:

  • A sense of calm or peace
  • Emotional release
  • Visual imagery
  • Physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, or vibration
  • A feeling of spaciousness or clarity
  • Falling asleep (this is completely normal)

There is no “right” way to experience a session.

Your body and mind will respond in their own way.

After Your Session

Following your session, you may feel:

  • Relaxed
  • Refreshed
  • Emotional
  • Tired
  • Energised
  • Thoughtful or reflective

These responses are natural and part of the integration process.

You will be given time to gently return to full awareness before leaving or ending the session.

Supporting Your Integration

After your session, you may benefit from:

  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Resting if needed
  • Spending quiet time in reflection
  • Avoiding rushing immediately back into busy activities

Listening to your body is an important part of the process.
